Basic coverage definition

Basic coverage means coverage provided under a health benefit plan that at a minimum provides coverage for emergency care, inpatient and outpatient hospital care, physician services whether provided within or outside a hospital setting, and laboratory and x-ray services.
Basic coverage means a policy of professional liability insurance required to be maintained by each healthcare provider pursuant to the provisions of K.S.A. 40-3402(a) or (b), and amendments thereto.
Basic coverage means coverage, including health benefit coverage, that meets the basic coverage standards required under Section 1601.053(a)(1).

  • Basic coverage might be provided by the national health insurance of the participant.

  • Basic coverage featuring benefits to age 65 after an elimination period of 180 calendar days will be provided at no cost to employees who work at least 20 hours per week on a year-round basis and have completed six months of active service following a regular or exempt appointment.

Basic coverage means health insurance that includes coverage for the following medically necessary services: preventive care, emergency care, inpatient and outpatient hospital care, physician services whether provided within or outside a hospital setting, diagnostic laboratory, and diagnostic and therapeutic radiological services;
Basic coverage means the group coverage plans determined by the board of trustees in which each eligible full-time employee and annuitant participates automatically unless participation is specifically waived.
